Creating wiki pages:

  1. Go to the “EDIT” tab in the upper left hand corner.
  2. Find your name in the table below. If I have made any spelling errors or you prefer to be called something else, please alter your name.
  3. Type your initials, the title of the assignment and the assignment number into the appropriate cell of the table below (i.e., initials Outline 1). Highlight it. Look for the “Insert Links” box on the right and click “Insert link to a new page.”
  4. The Link Type should say PBworks page, the Page box should say --New page--, and the Page Name field should have the title you typed in step 3. Click Ok.
  5. Click “Save” at the bottom right; click your now underlined name; and click "Create Page."
  6. You will be taken to your blank page in the Edit tab.
  7. Copy and paste the text of your outline from your word processing program into your new page. Check to make sure your formatting still looks right.
  8. Always click “Save” in the lower left when you are done Editing a page.
  9. Return to the front page any time by clicking the section number in the upper left. Check your link to make sure it is working correctly. If not, return to the edit tab, highlight your link, right click and select 'remove link.' Again, highlight the text you want to link. On the right, look for the list of pages, find the page you want to link to, and click the page title. Click save in the lower left.

Linking to a URL:

  1. In the Edit tab on your Draft 2  page, type a name for your link (i.e., My Ad).
  2. Highlight 'My Ad'. On the right, click 'Insert a link to a new page' or, in the editing tool bar, click the globe/link icon.
  3. Change the link type to 'URL'.
  4. Type your URL into the second box, check the 'Open in New Window' box, and click ok.
  5. Click 'Save' in the lower left and then check your link to make sure it works.
